My eye doctor told me I was a fool for coach tennis for 30 years without wearing sunglasses. He I needed to start wearing them.

So ... Recommendations? I don't need the best name, just the best sun glasses.

Fit is important, try a lot of frames. Oakley fits me best so I stick with them for regular glasses and sun glasses. Ray Ban for that Officer and Gentleman fighter pilot look.

Get generic polarized. Sunglasses are a monopoly with almost all being made by one company.

I buy polarized lenses. Make is irrelevant. For the last year+ I've been wearing $20 Oakley knock offs from the rack at Stop & Shop. The name has worn off. SolarCast, maybe?

If you are gonna go crazy... I know Oakley has some lenses that are sports specific and emphasize certain colors (maybe like tennis ball)...

I also buy 2 for $20 at flea markets. Make sure they are polarized.
If you want to spend big bucks get Maui Jim’s

I also coached. Ad much as I love my Oakley and Ray Bans I started to go with some less expensive options.

Tomahawk Sunglasses based on Long Island are good! They run a four $25 a pair.

Many friends and coworkers are wearing Shadyrays. Think they run about $45 a pair, but also apparently have a lifetime lost or broken replacement program.

I like you couldn’t play golf in sunglasses. I wear progressive lenses and had a lot of depth perception issues. There are a lot of options now so you should explore. I am wearing transition lenses which are large and round and goofy looking according to my wife. But I am very happy with them. They provide coverage without being wrap around.

I live in Florida and you absolutely need sunglasses. I lost a friend to melanoma which started in his eye and killed him in 1 month.

I have Oakley’s, Under Armour and Nike’s.....a few for real sunglasses some just for looks. Oakley’s have so many different options it’s by far the way to go just don’t buy anything you like without checking EBay that’s the only way to buy. Go to EBay and throw in Oakley sunglasses and have a blast. If you’re not sure how they look you can more than likely go to a Sunglass Hut and try them in.

Maui Jim’s. Pricy but a noticeable difference to the generics

Damn Tom!! I couldn't survive on the courts without sunglasses. I don't know how you did it for so long.

I have always just bought cheap gas station sunglasses. They usually last me a couple years, and are never more than $15

Spend the extra $5. Once you go polarized, you won't go back.

Be careful with polarizes. You may not be able to see your car dashboard or other stuff anymore. I think it’s anything that uses a reflection because polarization gets rid of all reflection.
