Sue Bird Has Knee Surgery

Sue had surgery yesterday to remove a cyst from her left knee. Sounds like she'll (once again) spend time rehabbing at UConn before traveling to Seattle to spend time with the Storm.

Sue will have company in rehab: Brianna and Stef.

Who knew that Storrs, Connecticut was the best place to go for post-injury rehab? I can see a whole bunch of theme-based B&B's popping up in the area.

Yes, the first line of the article. However, according to the article, she will complete much of her recovery in Seattle with her teammates and providing off-court leadership. In fact, she apparently tweeted how much she looked forward to joining them when she is able.

She posted this on Facebook (she doesn't have Twitter): "Thanks for the well wishes everyone! Surgery was smooth and I am home resting. Can't wait to get back to my team in Seattle!"
