Kloppenburg was asked whether Bird, 39, is likely to be able to stay in the lineup the rest of the regular season, which ends for Seattle on Sept. 13.
"I would think that she would now," he said. "I think it feels good for her. I just think it's one of those things that takes time. And maybe just the first time, it wasn't quite there yet and so she needed to get some more rest on it. But I feel confident that she'll be back and get back in the flow quickly."
Sue is probably motivated to get back seeing others taking over. Diana and Sloot in particular
Bird (knee) returns to lineup: 'Felt good out there'
Seattle Storm guard Sue Bird, who has battled knee issues this season, returned to the lineup in Wednesday's win over the Washington Mystics.
