Studio 54

I went in the late mid/late 80's but it was nothing like the original couple year run they had. In fact I think they called it the Ritz at studio 54 or something by the time I got there.

I've read and heard so many stories about the place over the years, I just find it fascinating. I guess I find all the famous clubs fascinating, from the Coconut Grove, the Filmores, to CBGB, etc

I lived a couple minute walk from CBGB been there 100's of times and played there a couple.

you ever see any of the famous shows, Blondie, Talking Heads, Ramones, Television, etc?

Those were mostly before my time but I saw some other epic shows there

went there in summer '83 after it had been sold by Rubell and Schrager. My UConn dorm mate was a doorman and lifted the velvet rope for me to avoid the block long line and showed me the private rooms all around. Caught the Village People doing YMCA on the catwalk above the dance floor to top it off.
