I knew him through business and I can definitely say that he was a very genuine person. Loved to talk sports and never had an air of arrogance about him. Very sad news. I feel for his daughters.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Stuart brought the cool factor to ESPN. He will be missed. Lord, Stuart made his kinfolk proud; Pookie, Ray-Ray, Moesha, Lil Sean....
Very sad. I haven't watched SportsCenter in years but he was a big reason why I did for a long time. The tribute video ESPN produced was both heartwarming and gut wrenching. A true man in every respect of the word. RIP.
Chatted briefly with him about 10 years ago at the Bradley baggage claim. Very friendly and seemed like a nice guy. Sounds like he fought his cancer right to the end. RIP.
I hate Emmert as much as any other Husky fan; but, I can not wish cancer on anyone and their family. That said, no problem with someone publishing pictures of Emmert taking Brown bags of cash and hookers from the BC AD.
