Only 49 way too young to go, that was a touching interview with Hannah Storm and Merrill Hodge, they were pretty much near tears. RIP

Damn. I watched him everyday when I was a kid. The guy pretty much got me in to sports. Rest in peace.

I knew him through business and I can definitely say that he was a very genuine person. Loved to talk sports and never had an air of arrogance about him. Very sad news. I feel for his daughters.

Condolences to his family, especially to his two young daughters, tough to loose their Dad at such a young age. Will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Stuart brought the cool factor to ESPN. He will be missed. Lord, Stuart made his kinfolk proud; Pookie, Ray-Ray, Moesha, Lil Sean....

RIP, Brother Stuart.

Much respect. He never gave up, he just didn't win. I wish the best for his daughters.

Very sad. I haven't watched SportsCenter in years but he was a big reason why I did for a long time. The tribute video ESPN produced was both heartwarming and gut wrenching. A true man in every respect of the word. RIP.

Chatted briefly with him about 10 years ago at the Bradley baggage claim. Very friendly and seemed like a nice guy. Sounds like he fought his cancer right to the end. RIP.

Life isn't fair at all, why can't cancer hit the right people like Mark Emmert

I hate Emmert as much as any other Husky fan; but, I can not wish cancer on anyone and their family. That said, no problem with someone publishing pictures of Emmert taking Brown bags of cash and hookers from the BC AD.
