With the conclusion of a successful Big East Tournament, the following streaks are still alive or are nearly clinched:
- UConn has now won either the Big East regular season or tourney championships (or both) for 19 consecutive seasons (dating back to 1993-94).
- UConn has now won 29 games on the year. Barring an historic upset by a #16 seed, UConn will win at least 30 games, which would be the seventh straight season UConn's won at least that many, and, even more incredibly, the 17th time in 19 seasons UConn has reached that threshold.
- UConn has not lost consecutive games since the conclusion of the 1992-93 season. That streak continued on with the win over Rutgers, and winning the tourney all but guaranteed that streak will continue until...who knows when? I imagine our opening game opponent next season won't be a strong team, so even a loss in the tourney doesn't put that streak in significant jeopardy. And since the team projects to get better over the next few seasons, that streak is going to be safe for a while.
- Uconn will be a #1 seed for the sixth consecutive season.
- 18 consecutive Sweet 16s
- Seven consecutive Elite Eights (and UConn has been to the E8 16 of the last 18 seasons total)
- Four consecutive F4s.
