I hope uconn fans who worry about uconns status as an elite bball program read this article. A lot of fans need to shed the inferiority complex they have about uconn bball. We are a blue blood program. They kid didnt even visit storrs, was contacted by uconn coaches very late in the game and he was ecstatic about the offer! Uconn is a dream school for many kids. This kid had several offers from high major schools too. Let's not forget about Daniels last year same thing, yea I know he's not the same level recruit to be able to get him with a post season ban looming is just as impressive. Uconn fans from the 80s need to change their expectations and perceptions of uconn. Yes I am fairly young and 99 was my first year i really followed uconn and they have gone on to win 3 national championships so I am used to winning and i expect high level recruits to commit to uconn as a given, as a uconn fan. Everyone else should too...welcome to the uconn family Phil!..."fragile program" my a** dorris

As we all know, there is absolutely nothing fragile about Jim Calhoun.

"The UConn postseason ban next year has no effect on me. Does not bother me at all."

I actually have a small tear in my eye. Is this young man singing? LOVE IT.

Bradley Hayes said something similar but his actions told another story. Nolan, on the other hand, appears to be a man of his word. Can't wait to see him play and develope his game here in Storrs.

Not that it's all that related to this, but I'm sad that we won't get to see Michael Bradley play here. He seems like a real nice kid who always said the right thing. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he would have stayed if not for his grandmother's illness. PT was there for the taking. I wish him well, though I'm thankful we are landing a kid in Nolan who really wants to be here even under the worst of circumstances.

"Phil later added that he will sign his National Letter of Intent early next week and will want to wear number 3."

For all of you who own a Lamb jersey, this is the news you hope for!
