The liberty player from Canada (im not attempting her name) reminds me of Gabby Williams.

3 double-doubles for the Huskies:

Stewie had 23 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out. Fouls 3, 4, and 5 were all marginal.

Sue had 21 points and 10 assists. She leads the league in dropping dimes.

Tina had 21 points and 14 boards for victorious New York.

Bria had 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals.

Kiah had 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

From ESPN:

"Bird is second on the league's all-time assist lead, trailing only Ticha Penicheiro, who finished her career with 2,599. Bird has 2,468."

Sue is averaging a career-high 8.1 apg this season. She's 131 short of the record, which should be hers by the end of the season.

Seattle might have been better off keeping Krystal Thomas and the #6 pick instead of getting Swords.

Seattle's acquisition of Swords was a head-scratcher for me too, given that Stewart and Tokashiki were already the roster. What Seattle really needs is a top-tier utility player a la Shavonte Zellous.

Spectacular game, though, as was the Mercury-Sparks matchup!

And don't forget about their core player Langhorne. If the plan was for Swords to rise to the starting center, that plan seems to have been averted.

They definitely have the three-headed monster going with Stewart, Loyd, and Bird. Only trouble is that two of those monsters take turns taking games off. If they all bring it every game, this team is a contender. They have nice supporting cast in Langhorne, Clark, and Tokashiki, Swords.... and up-and-coming Whitcomb. Maybe not quite the 9-deep quality depth of a Lynx or Sparks team, but they're close.

I've been disappointed in Carolyn's impact. Meanwhile, Krystal is playing better than I expected.

She'll probably be taking a back seat again once Meesseman returns.... unless Thibault considers playing Delle Donne at SF.

Probably so, though Emma's play has been less effective than I anticipated this year.
