Stewie on a breakaway, looking like a possible dunk. Then Maya flies in and blocks the shot.

This is like a heavyweight fight.

Yes, that was funny.

Veteran UConn-alumna star to fresh-faced Uconn-alumna future star: "Not today, rook!"

Stewart struggling mightily now. Just 1 for her last 10 from the field.

78-71 Minnesota. The 10-8 clunker of a third quarter was beyond intense.

Stewie finished 5-19 for 14 points. She did have 13 rebounds.

Bird had 12 points and 9 assists.

Other than the always annoying missed layups, this was a great showcase game for the W. Maya's block on the Stewie break reminded me of... well... Stewie actually. Or maybe Maya. Who else does that in WBB?

I had to watch it on League Pass after the fact. Was in on ESPN?

I was thinking the same thing about the block. There are only 2 players who do that, and 1 did it to the other.

Yeah, Stewie missed about 3 layups: 1 contested by Sylvia, 1 when she was fouled by Sylvia (but no call), and 1 uncontested. The 10-8 third quarter was strange, but very entertaining considering that the shooting was abysmal.

It was fun watching half the Olympic team on the floor.

Meanwhile, Minnesota and L.A. are 3-0, and Phoenix is 0-3.

I don't think it was on ESPN. I watched it live on League Pass.

So far Stewie has gone against Parker, Griner, and Sylvia, 3 of the best in the world, and more than held her own, so anyone saying she is the 12th player on the Olympic Team team is delusional.

if you are a Storm fan the future looks very good...Loyd will do nothing but get better...in time KML will get in better physical condition and become the mad bomber she was at Uconn and if the first three game of her career are any indication then Stewart's upside is limitless...17 ppg and 11 rpg...when she gets comfortable and gets her shooting touch back and adjust to the contact when shooting then her numbers will go thru the roof...
