For reference, Bulgak the FSU center was rated 6 by Prospect Nation, and 10 by WNBA Mock Draft. I wonder if she'll fall after Stewie's defense.

No way she will allow anything less than an NC. She is one driven dude this year.
Yeah you can see that Stewie is laser focused this year. She is on a mission. I think she really grew up after last season.

At this early point of the season, I don't see any way ( minus an injury) Stewie isn't a mortal lock for at least one or two NPOY awards. Yes- already.

Stewie should sweep the awards. This isn't like Maya's junior year where she had some competition (from a teammate!).

Barring injury, there is no way Stewie is not the national player of the year. I am not a UConn fan, but I can't imagine anyone who doesn't think she is the best player in the nation, hands down.

I agree with you ScarlettB. It seems like Stewie can do whatever she wants on the court at any time. Block shots? Check. Pull up jumper? Check. Shoot threes? Check. Get out in transition? Check. Is there anything Stewie can't do?

I agree with you that Stewie is likely to sweep the awards. But she does have some competition from her own teammate, Moriah.

not your best decision but we'll give you a break

how is the Rutgers board doing, I use to have a good time over there.

The competition for Stewie may be like the competition for the team. No one this year measures up. Stewie's competition may be Maya in 2010-11.

Coach Semrau's post-game comment says it all: "I love that kid," Florida State coach Sue Semrau said of Stewart, "I think she is one of the best players on the planet."

Stewie is a hard matchup for anyone and can shut down many capable players offensively. If she does fall, a team later in the draft will be getting a player they can develop and use.
