[QUOTE="UConniki, post: 5182622, member: 1129"] While that may be true what about AK being almost unplayable in the last game and personally losing a couple of games at the end . Hes gotten exposed this year . Yes no longer the fifth option on offense like he was last season getting the worst front court defender, now he’s a focal point of every teams defense and Dan Hurley hasn’t adjusted to take advantage of that which cost us the Nova game. I love Ak but he’s not a lead player ( he’s absolutely a team leader ). Dan Hurley should be using him as a decoy in end of game situations to get someone else open ( and not Diarra like in the debacle at the end of the Providence game, 4 points in like 10 minutes). We definitely lost a lot of talent, 4 NBA draft picks who are all seeing the court in various situations, But I don’t think this will go down as one of Dan Hurley’s better coaching jobs, Dan Hurley caught lightning in a bottle the last two years ( and yes he deserves most of the credit for assembling the coaching staff and the team) but we definitely didn’t make the most of winning back to back championships on the recruiting trail, ( until this upcoming season, our 4 man class is outstanding) our two man recruiting class this year hasn’t given us anything and that was after winning the first championship. That said, we are like 2 and 7 in one possession day games so with a little luck and some better decisions by Dan Hurley we could easily be top 5 with 2/3 loses, but we’re not. Rant over. JMHO.
