Stef received a thumbs up from Chris Dailey to go skydiving with her sisters. It seems CD could hardly say no, having done it herself. But what would the UConn coaches say about longboarding?

Webb, is 6-7 and has jumped 10,000 time in his career. He said Dolson’s athletic ability was clear and helped make the experience memorable.

“Some people are just born with amazing athletic ability,” Webb said. “She has the perfect makeup to dominate whether she was eating potato chips or being a world class Division I center. She showed talent and focus.

“But I will tell you; I know enough about UConn women’s basketball to understand that there was no way in the world I was ever going to let anything bad to happen to Stefanie. Those fans would have cooked me.”

But where was Caroline? Isn't she the master of videos? I expected her to jump with Stef and put together an amusing video. With a video-cam in Caroline's hands, and with Stef mugging away, the jump definitely would have been very funny. I'm smiling now at the thought.

What a great experience for Stef. i wonder if someone took pictures for her - i'm sure they did, but i wonder if we will every be able to see them or if she will keep them to herself...

I checked out Stef's twitter to see if she posted photos. There aren't any. But I did gather that she is dieting and has already lost 7 lbs. Maybe next season she'll look like a model from her video with Rebecca:

Melissa Jones was also a skydiver. Maybe BG will one up the them and skydive while longboarding.

I wish I could figure out how to extend an invitation to Stef to attend "The Rumble" (the name of the annual picnic of the Greater Hartford Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association) in the pavilion in Northeast Park in Windsor on an early Saturday in September. She could earn the distinction of the tallest paratrooper (and surely the most attractive) at the event.

I feel like the basketball uniform has never done Stef justice. Everytime I've seen her in street clothes this year, I've see a major difference from her freshman year. The weight loss looks less dramatic in the uniform.

I haven't found any action shots...there must be some. You don't do some thing like that without some pictures or video. For now only this from the Courant.

Based on the description of this Webb guy from the article ("...Webb, is 6-7 and has jumped 10,000 time in his career") that is not him standing next to Stef.

I am extremely happy that Stef got this (skydiving) out of her system.......Safely. We need her on the court, not in midair.

In her interview she said that this is the first summer that she would not be away at USA Basketball or in some other camp. That is not all bad. Maybe she can let her body rest up a bit, and she can do some conditioning work as well. Maybe do some skill development work. In any event , I think she will come back in the Fall in better condition and ready to go to work with her new frontcourt mates and win her first NC.
