No.
You need to be on all region team.
52 players are selected for those. Top 40 become all American.

Kelly prob didnt make the region team.

You are probably right. But, to be on the all region team one must probably also be all league.

It was good to see Kayla McBride named to an All American team. Consistently outstanding games against great teams on national televsion always makes one an All American in my book. Her ascension was totally unexpected. She is fun to watch and it raises the stock of my favorite WCBB assistant coach who, BTW, would be my favorite WCBB assistant regardless of how well Notre Dame's backcourt performs. As the backcourt coach and recruiting coordinator, her stock cannot be higher than it is right now. If said assistant ever becomes a head coach, she will have my allegiance; Even if that team, hypothetically, is Notre Dame. Ouch! I cannot believe I am even thinking that:eek:.

Congratulations to Kayla McBride and the other 9 WBCA All Americans!

Looking at the names on that list how is Faris not there. It must be prejudice against names beginning with the letter F.

I sat 12 rows behind the 6 AAs who are not playing in the Final Four: Elena, Chiney, Odyssey, Britney, Alyssa, and Chelsea. They are tall. Elena was very popular among the fans seeking autographs. She'll be marketed as the next Michael Jordan in Chicago.

I also saw Kara Lawson and Coach Peck sitting with them briefly.

With about 30 kids named honorable mention, I'm stunned Kelly was not on that list. She deserved it over MANY of the kids on the list, IMHO of course.

Unquestionably...she'd have been the MVP of SMU's team without a doubt, and Keena Mays made the Honorable Mention list for us...
