Further, if we finish the season at the same rate, our current % of 64.2 would set the record for the KenPom era (currently held by that 2021 Gonzaga juggernaut that lost in the finals to Baylor at 63,9%). Now I imagine our number will come down as we enter conference play and the consistently tougher opponents and get a larger sample in general, but it's extremely impressive so far. Did you know that Alex Karaban is shooting a higher % on 2s than Samson Johnson at 78% (Samson 76%, both top 20 in the country)? Clingan not far behind at 65%. Hassan Diarra's career 2pt% is 39.9%, but he's shooting 59.1% so far this season on 2s. Newton shot 38% last season, 58% this season. Both Marquette and Creighton are in the top 8 as well. [/QUOTE]
