Tennessee. South Carolina. Now Maryland. Never a dull moment for this Farm Fan. Someone pick me up off the floor...
Up off the floor, TheFarmFan, you won... never really in doubt!

Your concern probably should be, and might well be by now, how does the Cardinal avoid a plague of TOs vs. Texas. Stanford should win, but it would have been much better served by an Ohio State victory tonight.

Was there any danger of Stanford losing? I saw they were up 26 or something... then I looked at the final score and was surprised at the margin.

Not exactly, but if they played NBA quarters on WCBB I'd be terrified to think what two more minutes would have rendered on this game...

Stanford looks like the best team in the country. I'd be more worried about FT shooting than turnovers, though.

Vic Schaefer could well give Kiana, Haley, Lexie and whomever else a workout getting the ball up the court. I'd guess TVD will have Stanford working on press-breakers a goodly share of their practice today.

Here's hoping the Cardinal finds itself in the position in which making late-game free throws weighs on the outcome as it did last night.

That and foul trouble. Can't afford to have Brink and Hull sitting in my opinion against Texas.

Stanford knows how to win. Texas will be tough, but I think Stanford is going to roll the Longhorns.

A very different challenge than playing Maryland. Stanford is so much better now than when they played in November, but of course Texas is playing well right now too.

I didn't get to see the Texas-Ohio State game; I was mildly surprised to see it was so close. But similarly for Texas, Stanford is a very different type of team (and much better) than Ohio State.

When Texas' defense is really working, it's a tremendous equalizer. Still, it's hard not to like Stanford's chances of solving the riddle this time.

You missed an interesting and entertaining game. Ohio State's full court press helped them to create a lot of turnovers.

Joanne Allen-Taylor did a great job taking the team on her shoulders when Harmon was dealing with foul trouble. Watch out for her next game I believe.

Maybe Vic could send someone to Australia to guard Kiana. SEMI-FINALS GAME 1 - MATCH REPORT - Adelaide Lightning
Oops, pardon all, and to Kiana and Anna... I knew I shouldn't have been sending messages this morning after the late night!

On another note, I got a kick out of seeing Russell Wilson taking video/photos of his sister. I'd guess he does it often, but it was the first time I've seen it. Nothing like support from a sibling.

Yes, he's a regular at Stanford games. Gets plenty of face time on Pac 12 Network, but I understand many don't have that (including me now). His wife who is a pop star is at some of the games as well.

Stanford did a really good job of finishing the job tonight... as a Huskies fan but an admirer of the Cardinal, whew!

I realize Stanford winning makes UConn's task potentially tougher, but I just didn't want to watch the Huskies (or the Wolfpack) have to deal with what Texas brings to the court. It's similar to what UCF tries to do but with slightly better athletes, especially Harmon.

My concern heading into the game was the TOs that Stanford would probably commit, and they nearly were its undoing. Congrats to the Cardinal on its return to the Final Four. Haley Jones showed doubters again why she's a first-team All-American.

I'm not a fan of the Texas style of basketball, but hey it's worked for Vic and crew. In order to beat teams like that you have to be as tough as them and smart enough to run the right offense. Stanford and Uconn are good examples of that.

I think a lot of people erroneously conflate Haley not taking over many games for Stanford (because it’s not how they play, and she really doesn’t need to) with the idea that she can’t.

There’s not really a good matchup for her anywhere in the country. Reminds me of Collier her senior year at UConn. Just not a whole lot you can/could do with her.

Really tough hard fought game tonight. Ultimately the difference was at the free throw line and end of quarter situations. End of the first Jones nails a buzzer beater, end of 2nd Ebo misses 2 FTs, end of 3rd Stanford gets fouled on a 3 and gets three points. 5 or 7 point swing in Stanford's favor depending on how you look at it. It would've made up the difference through the full 4th quarter.

Congrats to Stanford though, they were more composed down the stretch and got the job done against a really gritty Texas team. Brink was a HUGE difference maker in the 2nd half. Just dominant defensively and owned the matchup vs. Ebo on both ends. Lexie Hull was in the right spot seemingly all the time and made a lot of big plays. Jones was great too.

Texas made a great run--last year felt like a Cinderella run, this year they belonged in the upper echelon of teams. They're going to be very good again next year with most players back.

Vic is without doubt, a smart coach. So could someone please ex;plain to me why Texas kept pounding it in to the post, whose only move was a turnaround jumper that got stuffed time after time? I could not believe they were doing it.

The Stanford player I am most impressed with is Brink - last year he was sort of meh. This year she is playing really well and more involved at both ends of the floor - just grown a bunch.
