Taking over games works for the fans of the players when they are hot. However, players are not always hot and when that happens the offensive synchronicity is lost and it takes a while to get other players involved. The best and most efficient teams have balanced scoring. One reason that Slocum has improved this season is that she is more apt to get her points within the context of the offense, rather than just looking for an opportunity for herself every time she has the ball. There is a time to work for your own shot and a time when not too. The smart players know when each is. While it is true that Goodman and Tudor are in a 3pt shooting slump, things have a way of evening out through the season. Scott is less worried about the games now than he is getting the team at max efficiency in March. Tudor probably came back too early, but the aim now is to have her ready come March. As to Goodwin she is a puzzlement as to her play. I can remember two years ago when Corosdale couldn't buy a 3 pointer most of the year, but she came alive in the playoffs. I also remember when Wiese carried the team all year with her outside shooting and then went cold during the playoffs and the team was so used to her carrying the team that they seemed lost in respect to other options. OS had a big lead on Florida St but allowed it to slip way. They were a better team than FS and would have presented a better matchup to South Carolina who FS almost beat. Wiese was O-11 on 3pt shots. They had other options but were waiting for Wiese to take over. A horrible example of a stagnated offense because of reliance on one player.
