I know UConn fans stand until the team scores, and I saw it mentioned that USF does the same.
Out here in AZ, fans stand until Arizona is scored upon, and the same practice was noted at ASU. I also think (but am not certain) that Tennessee does this, which could account for AZ, since our head coach (at least for 1 more game - not sure she survives) is Naya Butts that played at TN.
Of course at Rutgers, fans don't stand at the beginning of the game at all, although there was an attempt to initiate a specific RU chant until the team scored, but it never went off.
Curious if the BY folks have any idea if the players appreciate or even notice this. My point is that it is so "routine" - as opposed to in-game, where players or coaches might try to excite the crowd to stand up. That I know players notice, although it doesn't always have an affect.
