Hate? I don't expect any negative comments, let alone hate.
Really, Triad, you're not usually so cynical about your ever-magnanimous UConn fan friends.
Glad to see a school make such a commitment to WCBB. Just goes to show you that the SEC has that long money.
Contrast the raise, contract extension, and respect that Dawn just got at SC with the treatment that the WBB program at UCINNINATTI was just handed. It certainly makes it harder for Jamelle to recruit players when they realize they'll be playing in a HS gym.
I agree... he is getting a lil too comfy!Hate? I don't expect any negative comments, let alone hate.

She'll be making $2.1 million annually at the end of her contract.
Safe to say, SC is pretty darn committed to being good at WBB. It's really amazing how popular Staley is in SC.. her salary numbers are huge and nobody even batted an eye at them. The BOT approved her salary increase unanimously and swiftly. A LOT of fans questioning why she's not making as much as Frank Martin even..
True enough. It's only for a year. Hopefully, there won't be any delays or snags in the construction process. My point is the overall impression that is left in a recruits mind that somewhere down the road, when I am on the team, that another decision will come along and I have to hope that the best interests of the WBB program will be the deciding factor in the administrations decision. That's a leap of faith some may not want to take a chance on.Its only for a year. The players being recruited for Cincy wont be playing at a high school gym by the time they enter college.
that can happen at any school... coaches can get sick or caught up in scandal and quit!True enough. It's only for a year. Hopefully, there won't be any delays or snags in the construction process. Since there are those who criticize Geno's publicly funded salary (directly or indirectly by sports-generated revenue, general UConn revenue, or student fees), let's remember that the State of Connecticut has the highest per capita income in the country, while South Carolina has one of the very worst.
Thus Dawn's salary costs the state, directly or indirectly, significantly more than Geno's. And considering cost-of-living, is actually worth more. Another dreary example of how the popularity of sports trumps (no pun intended!) social needs.
