Damn. No wonder Lavin has no energy for coaching and needs to conserve his energy. He doesn't want to get whistled for a 3 second violation.

I feel like we need the ability to add a button with this sound effect for posts.

Now if you combined her looks with Mrs. Fine's attitude towards players, St. Johns would be top 10 every year.

I don't really understand Lavin's coaching/job situation. He took the year off from coaching because of prostate cancer right? His health must have been worse than Jim Calhoun's and Jim Boeheim's when they had prostate cancer. Both of them were right back coaching as soon as possible. I heard that he decided not to coach, but focus on recruiting during the season. That seems like a really odd situation to me. I don't want to question his health, but I would think that if you could travel around the country to recruit, then you would be healthy enough to coach. He seems like a nice enough guy, good recruiter, but doesn't have that fire and pure basketball instincts to be a great coach. Most great coaches understand the importance of recruiting, but they live to coach.

Prostate cancer is much worse when you get it at a younger age and he is definitely on the young side. I have no knowledge of what's going on with him but that fact that he missed the entire year gives me a little fear that he might be sicker than people are letting on and yes his wife is hot as hell.

In this picture she looks like a combination of Sophia Vergara, Halle Berry, and Rihanna. Not a bad combination. :)

I just don't think you can speculate on how something like prostate cancer affects different individuals. I feel like I can comfortably say that Lavin doesn't have the competitive drive that Calhoun has, but it isn't because of how quickly or well he recovered from prostate cancer, its simply because JC is unmatched.

How could anyone get prostate cancer with a wife like that? Must be from overuse.

Unless we see a swimsuit photo that proves it, there's no way she gets in Sophia Vergara's class.

With a wife like that, you have to prioritize the prostate, at all costs. The mailman still delivers you know.

Having gone through radiation treatment for throat cancer, I had a chance to meet a few guys who were being treated for prostate cancer. Both have become friends and are in their 60's. One said radiation only increased his chances by 1% but that he was lucky to get older rather than younger. Both men are back to work and leading normal lives.
I would be interesting to know exactly what treatment Lavin is getting. If it is surgery and radiation he would only miss a few months. My guess he is getting some other treatment. Hope all goes well for him.
