Pitino has done this before. They have another huge game on Saturday. There is no world in which that loss was all on Pitino and everyone knows it. He decided not just to take all the blame but to try to move his team forward, which included I’m assuming a 2.5 hour bus ride home, as quickly as possible..

If you can't 'get up' for a game you very well would clinch the BE regular season title, it isn't on the coach. The St. John's players were out-everythinged in that game. I get Pitino trying to give his players some cover.

I know he missed some late 3's and don't know if it was the energy of the crowd or if AK is finally starting to feel healthier, but it was nice to see him with some bounce. And Reed has started to look 'springy' again the last few games. If they continue to play like this and limit the fouls and turnovers, they are in perfect position to make a run. As Calhoun was known to say, 'Just keep on keepin' on'.

Rare. Looks like he did outside the lockerroom. Bet the bus was running and he wanted the hell out of hartford
