That was my interpretation as well. Didn't Pitino say Devon Smith was going be limited or not playing at all for the rest of the regular season (or something to that effect)? So it's confirmed RJ Luis is playing Sunday.
Didn't play last night with a pulled groin. Pitino said he's doubtful for Sunday. I don't trust Pitino who pulled a similar stunt with Smith last week.
If he actually doesn't play, changes how we defend St. Johns.
Was talking more about individual matchups. But you are right. Need to limit turnovers.Does it though? The main issue UConn had with SJU was not on the defensive side of the ball, it was on the offensive side of the ball. The biggest key to game two is simply having Diarra and everyone else healthy.

Not gonna take Pitino's comments to the bank. But if true-StJ can afford to roll the dice and risk a loss and not hurt themselves tremendously re: BE standings with 5 games to play.
Groin injuries for fast twitch guys like Luis can be tricky.

I wouldn't trust him on any level. Pitino thinks he's the Godfather of the BE this year, and likely a ploy to tat Hurley's pre-game injury report before the first matchup, where he threw out Mahaney being hurt, McNeeley being on limited minutes and Diarra limited.Yeah, Pitino is trying to screw with us.
And Pitino probably knows groin injuries, after all he's been yanking people around for decades.Groin injuries for fast twitch guys like Luis can be tricky.
This time my thread with this title is actually about St John's

Were you asleep when Luis buried all of those dagger/onions mid range jumpers at Gampel?
