St. John's beat the snot out of UConn around this time last year

2011 had beaten Michigan State, Kentucky, and Texas before that St. John's game and had a Player of the Year Candidate. They showed what they were capable of. They didn't blow double digit leads to mid majors at home. They didn't suck wind to break 65 points a game against unranked competition prior to the St Johns blowout.

Tell me what this team has shown you to think they can turn it around.

Do you want to piss in our Cheerios as well? Want to punch my sister in the mouth?

I get your point, but there are a ton of negative threads, let there be one where we can have hope.

I am all for pulling positives out of this team and trying to have a silver lining by comparing this team to last years during the down points, but if you can't see the difference between that team and this team I can't help you. That team had an edge, heart, and pride. When their backs were against the wall is when they thrived. This team has had chance after chance to prove itself and I just don't see it coming around this year. I truly hope I'm wrong. I'm sorry to be Deborah Downer but you can't sleep walk through the regular season every year and then go on an eleven game winning streak to capture the whole damn thing. Right now this team is lucky to get invited to the dance.

If your sister is Jeremy Lamb, then yes, yes I do.

Let him vent. After an embarrassment like this you're entitled, as a fan, to walk right up to the line of murder, suicide and/or murder-suicide.

give us one reason why there should be hope? this team has completely flatlined. this is the worst performance i have ever seen by a uconn team. especially one this talented and hyped before the season started.

Can all that pride/edge be the product of ONE player? I mean, Kemba was all world, but boy you'd think some of it would be passed down to this year's bunch. They lost one player, one of impact and added a kid with major balls and similar style in Boatright and the drop off is this bad? Something just makes zero sense with this team.

Roscoe Smith scored 10+ in the St. John's game last year and this Louisville game.

2010 beat Texas at home. Until otherwise that is the team this current team most closely aligns with.
"Most closely aligns with" in the sense that you're just making up as you go along and stay failing (in total oblivion)?

Can we stop making comparisons to last years team. The only season this should be compared to is 2010.

This. I'm all for being positive, really am. I attempted to go into that one with a positive outlook, thinking, "I just want to see them compete...they're 'all in' now". And in the first half, they did play hard. I can live with the first half performance, but in the second half they laid down like dogs. It was embarassing to watch.

But Oriakhi is the only player from that team while the 2011 only lost 3 players.

I'd say its more similar to 2011 than 2010.

No just making a observation after that "effort" given by the team tonight on national tv.
