There is nothing more that fanbase wants than to kick our @sses and to reclaim MSG. The Storrs South stuff must be needling at them/Pitino like a piece of pot toast stuck in a molar.

Pitino basically said it - they need to take it back and never give it back in his lifetime, to Raff, post game. You know who that was directed at. He’s been good about it not to create bulletin board stuff, but I think Pitino revels in putting a shoe in Hurleys keester and it will be as satisfying a win as he’s had in a long time. I can’t blame him. He finally has a team that emulates his system and plays their collective b@tts off.
One win reclaims MSG? Don’t think so. Of course Pitino wants to beat a 2 time national champion everyone does. Win a national championship, or do something for a few years then we’ll talk.

Nobody from that team scares me. Playing hard doesn’t always translate to playing well. They’ve been fortunate so far. Bring them into Gampel.

Hurley has a week to prepare for them and we are at home. The only concession is if Liam doesn’t play much or is not back in form, so they are desperate for this win. I think Hurley will get that across.

The last time they puffed their chest out like this, we curbstomped them in the 99 Big East finals.

I fear no team. Welcome to the Basketball Capital of the World.
I was at that game. Unbelievable fast break we had 4 or 5 times, ball never touched the floor. Precision passing.

Jonnie fans sure are confident and cocky over there on their fourm. Just a sample of the garbage you'll see posted :"We are beating the out of them and taking their cow tipping girlfriends home and leaving them on Mullins revenge yard"

Playing in New York City is like playing a home game for us. I love Gample but we don‘t need the Gample!

Love NYC Storrs South!

Game plan: let Richmond shoot 3s
Defensively, we try to live by discouraging 3s. We can’t play that way tomorrow and expect to win. We have to let them shoot as many 3s as they want and concentrate instead on clogging driving lanes and being in position to box out.

Last time St. John’s had a relevant squad was the Mike Jarvis led team of ‘99: Eric Barkley, artest, Lavar postell, bootsie Thornton, and I forgot who their big was. Good squad. It’s been a while

Everyone takes their run at the King of the Hill. umass did it for the 6 minutes they were actually competitive. Said we were scared to play them then we agreed to that stupid rivalry game which was lopsided, got no attendance and failed. PC took their run up the hill and quieted down after 5 or 6 trophies got rammed in their keester. Cuse? Nova? BC? Marquette?

Heavy is the head that wears the crown, my friends.

Iirc by the time it happened it wasnt Calipari v Calhoun which was a huge selling point and Umass had declined and no longer what they were under Squid.
