There was a sign there at Signing Day. Sorry if it's been posted.

Thanks for this. I didn't hear about the date and I haven't missed one in quite some time. It's already going down on the calendar...

delete this thread. im surew we will ait until 2 weeks before and then announce the wrong date at a bball game and then butcher it some more elsewhere. meanwhile we wont alert season ticket fans or anything. this is way to early for us to be killing the spring game.

Go back to bed Dan. It's the 20th for those of us who really care about UCONN football.

P made a point of saying it will be at noon not at 5:00PM.

Don't ruin THIS post with the Hater Blog stuff. Go bother somebody else.

.-.
Well I won't be there, that's the day my ball and chain gets installed...

You just went there didn't you? It's only because your brother is such a good tailgate chef that you deserve any slack. Throw in you've been kind enough to be our own personal ESPN tech for years...you get a pass.

By the way. I met your future wife and you should know that she's SEC and you're NBE. Just sayin'.

Are you suggesting that Santini is the ball and chain??? Ouch...

I can't wait. Good times every year and I really appreciate the way the coaches, players, staff and cheerleaders interact with the fans/kids. They put on a good time each year and seem to really enjoy connecting with the fans. I wish the place would be more packed than the usual 5,000-6,000 that show because there is no better entertain option for the money! ;)

I believe that a good offensive showing in the spring game might stir up a little extra interest in the team and even give a slight uptick to season ticket sales. Fans have been incredibly frustrated with the offense (minus a few great running backs) since 2004.

The Spring Game is on 4/20. terrific.

by gametime I will be highly prepared for an overabundance of terrible rentschler food.

A good day of football to hold ya over till August when the real season starts.

Couldn't imagine it...

It's April 13, 2013 as is Indiana's and probably dozen others. Most are completed by the 21st. All depends on start of camp.

"A college is allowed to hold 15 spring practices, including a spring game. Schools are also permitted to have separate days during which activities are limited to required conditioning activities and/or watching film. These 15 practices must be completed within a period of 34 consecutive calendar days. Exceptions to consecutive days are university-sanctioned vacation and examination days, and days with inclement weather, restricting the possibility of practice. Only 12 spring practices may permit physical contact, none earlier than the third practice session. Tackling is allowed in eight of the twelve contact sessions. Up to three of the eight tackling sessions may be devoted to 11-on-11 scrimmages. The optional spring game counts as one of the three scrimmage days."

the Spring game was the only game i was able to make last year and I had a great time. if anyone has kids that aren't really game age yet this is a great event to bring them to. there's a running clock in the second half so it only takes about 2-2.5 hours and they have a bouncey castle and stuff set up to entertain little ones. plus you can get up and walk around anywhere you want if they get anxious sitting, and it's empty enough that you can let them run up and down the rows without bothering anyone.

I think I've been to 'em all. You can pick up some observations that will stay with you. Last year it was clear that Whitmer was our only QB. The one memory that sticks the most was Scott Lutrus' 1st game. I was thinking "he can't possibly be this good when they play for real." Turns out he was.

can't wait to tailgate as well! I have to test out a few new items for next year for the HQ.

then, watch the guys get out there... see what I can learn about the team... on field for the meet and greet.

All we need is decent weather...

I'm going to say it again, the university should expand the activities during the spring game. since there is no more spring weekend, university should sponsor a big tailgate party...after the game, have a concert there or something.. at least getting more of the students out there to support...idk just a though.. and looking forward to see how this QB battle is going to shape up

It would be nice to see a huge crowd. But our sports dept have Marketing Dolts!

Doesn't UConn have a sports marketing major? Don't any of those grads ever come up with an idea along the way?

Combine the spring game with a rollout of Sweetwater 420 beer.

Let's hope your fiance can take a joke as most do not take ball and chain as a term of endearment. If she sees your post we may see you at the game!

I like hearing the term Spring Game simply because this weekend....
WE ARE YUKON !!!
