Usually 3 points is the home court advantage for two “equal” teams.

So 6.5 implies on a neutral site we’d win by 3.5. I think that’s a fair line.

But I think we smoke them, and apparently so do the bettors moving the line to 7.5!

There still is a factor for h/a/n in the odds making process. If this was at MSG or PC, the line would not have opened at -6.5

Obviously, but it is not a set -3, that formula is over with. For instance, Utah football at home has been a 6 point addition on the spread the last few years. Books value each homecourt individually now and not uniformly at 3.

Colorado has the best with nearly a 5 point HCA, we're at 4 points (which is tied for 17th in country, and quite good for a team with no elevation).
