Maybe, but remember we beat the Aussies in a thriller, so we're capable. Unfortunately, Les Bleues have a tendency to play up or down to just above the level of the competition. At least until we run up against the US, if we make it that far.

I've been watching the Olympics from overseas while visiting relatives, and I caught a good interview with Isabelle Yacoubou and some sports anaylst that I had never seen before, right after France/Australia game. The analyst was talking about how the French team was having a breakthrough year, and that it was not implausible for them to have ambitions for a silver medal. The interviewer ( a generic anchor desk type) asked, why not gold? Says the analyst: Because the US women are "intouchables."

I'll add more thoughts in the morning. It's late here. Two exciting games. Becky Hammonova got the key hoop in the last 13 seconds for Russia, and DuMerc (?), the French PG and captain, wouldn't let her team lose.

Angel was in the crowd and was interviewed briefly.

I saw 3 UConn shirts--mine and 2 others. Plus a Geno T-shirt.

Also saw the Triathlon and the Golden Girls. Watch Misty and Kerri. They are so clutch!
