Two missed FG's, missed extra point and an offsides on a missed SMU FG that led to a TD.
And DBs turning around. I don't know why opposing OCs don't throw deep on every play. If the ball is there, UConn will never be able to defend it.All offseason, the focus has to be on tackling. This team doesn't know how to tackle. You see better wrapping up in youth football games for real.
The 45 yarder against the wind was forgivable. The other one, with the wind was not.Two missed FG's, missed extra point and an offsides on a missed SMU FG that led to a TD.

With this program, you never want to ask if things could get worse. The answer usually resembles one of those hold my beer videos. It's gotta be more than just coaching - it's a combo of everything - young players who lack strength, speed, and skill. I've never seen a football team give up huge runs up the middle so frequently like we do. It's staggering how bad this D is.
We knew it was bad the way UCF tore through us the first game, but we had hope that it was just that it was UCF. No. This has been a pretty common weekly demolition. Really no evidence of improvement anywhere. How can they be worse next year? How? It's unreal.
Excellent question. Unfortunately, old habits are difficult to unlearn. Having no idea where the ball is, is something our defenders did all the time under red pants Diaco. The press has to ask Edsall why our DB's never look back for the ball when in pass defense. My wife says our defense is out there to escort the opponents to the endzone. If Edsall deflects or does not answer the question then keep asking him till you get an answer or he storms off. We have redefined the title of worst defense in the nation.
