Seattle is at home, where they play well, but L.A. is a big challenge. Both teams need the win.

L.A. leads by 2 at the half.

Sue is shooting the ball well and has 10 and 3 at half.

Jewell seems to have found her shot.

Candace has 8 and 5, much better than the last game.

Seattle is not a very good team right now, San Antonio might be the only team that is worse. Not sure the Seattle coach is good enough to coach up this team.

The Seattle bench is very weak. I think they are better than Atlanta and Dallas, at least at home. I think they are better than Chicago too, despite the Sky's blow-out win over Minnesota.

Well, they are ahead of one of the best teams in the league at the moment. And it's really hard to tell if they are better or worse than Atlanta, Chicago, or Dallas. They are all capable of playing well at times and awful at other times. Chicago lost to the worst team one day and blew out the best team a few days later. Dallas has moved the ball fantastically in some games and played losing one on one type offense in others. Atlanta looked great early in the season and has trailed off dramatically. But I agree that the problem seems to be the coaching in Seattle. She doesn't get much out of her players.

Every team has played poorly at times this season. Minnesota probably has played the best overall, but was mediocre or worse tonight.

San Antonio has had a few good stretches.

Seattle usually starts well at home, but when the bench comes in, the lead disappears.

81-69 final, Seattle.

L.A. showed no sense of urgency in the 4th. Sue, Stewie, and Jewell were all sharp.

Seattle shot 52%; L.A. shot 37%.

Seattle was 8-15 from the arc; L.A. was only 4-23.

Sue had only 3 assists, but the team had 20. L.A. had just 10.

So, the 2 best teams in the league--in terms of record and talent--both lost to sub-.500 teams tonight. They may have been mentally and physically drained from their game against each other on Thursday.
