This reminds me of the shoe salesman joke:

Company kept sending salesmen to an island where no one wore shoes. Each time they sent someone the guy would come back and say "how can I sell shoes there, nobody wears shoes". Finally got a rookie salesman to go there and he wired back "thanks for the great place to sell, everyone here needs shoes!"

There isn't a single aspect of UConn defensive football that wasn't the worst in FBS football, the defensive coaches should be thinking "I can't help but make this defense sooooooo much better in 2019".

Let's see what they do, time for HCRE2.0 and his coaches to EXECUTE.

This is all good news as we head into summer. The coaches appear to be more talented and clearly are better communicators. The desire of this group of players to shed the past and improve in every area is evident in the weight room, classroom and on the practice field. This D should surprise a few teams as they build on some early success this fall.
