I live in Fairfield County. I'll most likely live and work here until I retire in 15 years. I have the UVerse U300 package which includes the BTN. I'd likely watch the BTN quite a bit if UConn were in the B1G. So would a lot of us. Those that didn't have BTN would get it. Just like they made sure they got SNY.

More stuff on southwest CT growth

Stamford has moved past Hartford to become the third most populous city in the state. Could surpass New Haven by the early 2020s - particularly given there are 3000+ additional potential apartments in the pipeline. Furthermore, FF County has grown by over 15k to 931k since 2010 while the rest of the state has been flat or losing populatin.

Across the line in NY, NYC has added 160k people since 2010 while NYS as a whole (including NYC) has added 190k. Therefore, NYC has added 160k or 84% of NYS's total population growth while having just 44% of the state's population. FWIW - Westchester County added 12k over the same period growing to 961k.

Even though there was no new Husky on my dunkin iced coffee cup down there, I did here an advertisement for the UConn-Stamford branch on the fan 660. So at least there is some pulse I guess. How about a nice new big Husky advertisement on 95 when you enter the state from NY and in New Haven saying "Welcome to UConn Country" with 6 little home game helmets below the new husky...ex Mich Maryland Rutgers Ville

Don't you mean when you enter NY from New Jersey via the Lincoln tunnel or GW Bridge? Might as well get the Tappan Zee bridge for good measure. Also PATH trains.
