-> “When those things happen, it can go one of two ways,” Rose said. “It can either go forward or it can sink, and we knew, the group of seniors has been here four or five years, we knew that we had to make something shake. We came together and just made sure that everybody understood that this was still going to go in the right direction, all the goals we set for ourselves hadn’t changed.”

“College football’s a business, and sometimes those things happen,” Rose said. “But as for players, we’re here and we’re representing UConn so we need to do it to the best of our abilities.” <-

-> “When I first got here [as defensive coordinator in 2019], I was new to state, new to university and got to know [Rose], going against him, bantering,” said Lou Spanos, who became interim head coach on Labor Day. “You see a highly mature [player], communicative, doing well in school, then you see him growing up and becoming an adult. A couple of older players, a strong nucleus of players got together and said, ‘Hey, this is our team, let’s make this season special.’” <-

I just hope that J Rose will get a chance to play on Sunday. I believe he might get drafted in the 6th or 7th round.

I don’t think he will get drafted but will assuredly get a camp invite. Will have to make his bones on specials initially but he has the makeup to make a team. I think he is a way better receiver than shows up in the box score because qb play/play calling has been so abhorrent over the last 4 years (and longer).

I really believe they should have made him a featured offensive player, utilize play action and use Rose as that middle of field threat. But I digress.

I expect to see more and more of him.
