U$C continues to be the makeover team - led by two frosh and a grad transfer. Jackson and Pili have a lot of potential and they're still so young. If Trakh can recruit another class or two like last year's, U$C has long-term potential to climb back to the upper echelons of the PAC-12.

Jackson, Pili and Rogers is quite a freshman class to build around.

USC is not playing pretty basketball but they're really playing with the proverbial heart. Besides Jackson, Pili and Rogers, you have to remember that Caldwell is only a soph and their backup point, Miura can be very effective for short stretches. On the other hand, Overbeck has been nothing but a huge disappointment ever since she transferred in. Trakh seems determined to keep her in the starting lineup despite the fact that she's soft in the paint and is very much out of shape. Her numbers are terrible and although she's a captain, she doesn't show much leadership and that's one thing this young team desperately needs.
