This game may not seem interesting to most, but South Dakota is ESPNW’s top-rated mid-major club in the nation. Missouri has had it’s struggles this season, losing to Green Bay at home and to Michigan during a holiday tournament. But they’ve been on a 5-gm win streak, beating teams like Quinnipiac, Duke, and West Virginia.

This one should be starting up if you're bored with the blowout games.

Sophie Cunningham with poor 1st half. 2-8 5pts total.

South Dakota is a solid team. Stretched their lead out to 12 at end of 3Q. Other than putting Mizzou on the line too much in this quarter, they have looked solid.

I really have been surprised at Mizzou. I figured they would be better, but losing Porter has apparently affected them more than I realized it would.

Missouri on a 7-0 run, cuts the lead to 63-56. Forces a South Dakota timeout.

SD making some poor decisions and just simply fouling too much.

Jordan Frericks was the bigger loss for Missouri.

Go Coyotes! 61-56 with 5:47 to go

Mizzou cut the deficit to 2, but South Dakota has steadied the ship with some clutch play on offense, and Missouri has missed their last few 3-pt attempts. SD up by 6 and has the ball with less than 2:00 to play.

This is Cunningham's 3rd time to foul out this season (out of 11 games).

Mizzou has lost to Green Bay and now by double digits to South Dakota. I have no idea how they beat West Virginia in Morgantown.

Lol @ the announcer: "Party in Vermillion tonight!"

Seriously, South Dakota is a nice team. This is their second time to beat a top-25 team this season (they beat then-#23 Iowa State a couple weeks ago). Duffy was really outstanding for them. Apparently there is only one senior on this team.

Almost two-thirds of Mizzou's shot attempts were from 3, and they were 12 of 36. That's called living and dying by it.

...and good riddance. Not a fan of Sophie "I am a dirty player' Cunningham

Agree, I can't stand Cunningham. Mizzou is overall a very physical team. I thought they got some home-court officiating this afternoon, although I only saw the second half.

One thing I noticed about Mizzou is that every time one of them made a good play, she acted like she'd just won the game for them. Enthusiasm is good, but a big celebration of a block (out of bounds, so the Coyotes were getting the ball back) when you're down ten with six minutes left is not something I find appealing.

From what little I saw of the game, Mizzou was also plagued by horrendous passing with really ill advised high risk passes in closed spaces due to lack of movement. I guess they think that they can play bully ball but other teams are not impressed

Guess who’s back?
