Most interesting:

League only runs through February. So the players get more than a month off before WNBA teams start practice. I'll bet this is one reason Maya chose to go to China. She knows her body needs rest periods.

Maya's salary is "mid-six figures". I wonder what taxes she pays to China on that income?

Maya's mom has been with her all season. They live in a "Western style hotel."
They will have a good old fashioned American Christmas together.

Maya is averaging 45 points per game. In her 60 point performance, she had 7 threes in the 1st quarter.
