South Carolina has released their OOC Schedule http://www.gamecocksonline.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/081215aan.html Ohio State starts the season against So Carolina before facing UConn 3 days later.

Winthrop (H) 17-13 ––– ––– 199

Not a bad OOC Schedule. Even with some Cup Cakes will probably be one of the stronger OOC Schedules in the Country. Can do without Elon, Hampton and Winthrop but they are located in South Carolina's Regional area.

I like what Ohio State is doing, schedule the best you can and prepare, then let the chips fall where they may. So many other teams try to strategically do just enough and then they get to the tourney and realize that just enough is okay during the regular season but it doesn't hold water in April. You need to test yourself early and often. Take your loses in November and December so you can be unbeatable it March and April.

Ur right - at first glance, it's a bunch of no-names, but most of those teams made the WNIT so I bet it's considered one of the better schedules...

USCar's OOC schedule is okay I guess, with 7 of the 13 games at home and just 7 of them against top 100 teams but 3 against top 20 teams. Can't real brag about the amount of grit in the OOC diet there, but at a time when a supposedly Top-10 team like Baylor is scheduling an OOC slate with NO away games and against a porky string of mainly bad bad teams that include none in the 2014 Sagarin top 20, the G-c-ocks by comparison are marching through the caverns of hell. There will be a number of P5 teams with SOS's above 250 when conference play starts.

.-.
Good for them and its tough to grab big name schools without cutting your home schedule too tight....USC is getting better.

It is a significant upgrade to previous schedules and pretty solid - 5 major teams is a good OOC for anyone.

USC did play at UConn and at Duke last season and play in a pretty good tournament in the Bahamas. I think Staley is willing to schedule up.

IDK,

W. Virginia
Iona
Southern Utah
UNLV
Long Beach State
UC-Irvine

doesn't sound like a real tough schedule for USC.

She should be scheduling up. Her team will dominate everyone this year and maybe the next few years, except for UCONN, who I think they will be favored to beat, considering the game is at home.

I doubt we'll be favored to beat UCONN even at home... But I think we'll give them a better game than last year. I hope thats the case. UCONN needs competition in WCBB. They are a giant. As well as ND recruits and develops, they still can't get over the hump.

.-.
They won't dominate Duke or TN this year

Sorry, but IMO, Duke and Tennessee have the horses to stay with South Carolina, but not the jockeys. Although I'm sometimes unimpressed with the offense that Staley exhibits, she is better coach than Holly or Coach P., by a pretty good margin.

Perhaps... but they still wont dominate either..... despite what you think of the coaching. But we will see.

The game is in Columbia and we don't have many close games at home. That is why they play the game, though.

Just dropping my 2 cents. I think A LOT of people are sleeping on the 4 quarter rule change. There is for sure going to be an adjustment period. I think the only team you can really say we'll dominate is UCONN. Because I can see Geno quickly adjust to the change and more importantly his players.

I thought Duke wasn't playing UCONN in 2015-16 so how will Duke dominate them?

Was speaking in general. We haven't really had a fair introduction to each other, so a little background information about myself. I'm a WCBB fan FIRST, followed by being a Duke WCBB fan. Now if we were talking men basketball its DUKE BASKETBALL over everything.

Did you mean to say "will" instead of "we'll"? The sentence would have a very different meaning that way.

At least 2 and true, but games were relatively close. Will Duke be a top ten team in 2015-16?

Short answer. Yes.

Im bullish on the team from Durham :p Check back with me on Nov 8th and I'll know alot more

I agree. I don't see them dominating either team. I think they will be better than last year offensively but I don't see them making any giant leaps over all. They are missing a sharpness that it takes to truly dominate. Some of that comes from preparedness and discipline but some of that also comes from style of play. I don't anticipate them all of a sudden passing the eye test this year. For me the eye test really matters. If you watch ND and UConn the difference is visual. I don't see that with SCar. Trust me I have really tried to watch SEC games. It's tough, no offense. I have just become accustomed to a certain style I guess.
