Nice game for USC, the way a final 4 team should play. Arkansas has played a tough schedule so far and based on the scores 61-50 vs Texas and 63-47 vs ORST they are a decent team.

All afternoon Arkansas did not even try to defend the 3.

Ha, I'll admit Arkansas isn't a team of world beaters but it was good to finally see SC dominate a lesser opponent offensively and defensively. Roy has struggled early this season and she needed this game. Every team in America is going to play zone against us and make us beat them from outside so it was a welcome relief to see our guards do their part. Part of the reason Arkansas didn't try to defend the 3 is because nobody believes SC can hit from the perimeter... their coach even said it during his post game presser, "SC is not an 11 three pointer shooting team"... well apparently they are. By the time Arkansas figured out that they needed to guard the perimeter it was too late. Arkansas won't be the last team to get torched by SC for gambling on the perimeter.

Arkansas is a mediocre team, but I thought it was the best game we had played so far this season. Time will tell if we're going to be better than last season, but I do think we have more total talent and experience.
