The ref sees the tip and has a brain fart confusing a UConn tip vs a SC tip and signals that it was tipped and does not call a back court. If you watch closely you see the ball deflect ever so slightly. So the ref got all wrapped up in seeing the finger tip and totally messed up on which team was doing the tipping.
