I'm not one to stir the FHCRE pot, however, I couldn't resist this one:
As the college football season begins anew later today, one of the the marquee match-ups is Monday night's contest pitting Maryland against Miami. The Hurricanes have dominated the news in recent weeks due to NCAA violations and player suspensions. Maryland has to deal with a couple suspensions handed down by new head coach Randy Edsall. Running back D.J. Adams and offensive lineman Cody Blue will not play against Miami for violating team rules according to Jeff Barker of the Baltimore Sun.
Adams was listed as the team's co-starter at running back along with Devin Meggett during spring practices. Freshmen Jeremiah Wilson and Justus Pickett will pick up the slack left by Adams who scored 11 rushing touchdowns in 2010.
Meanwhile, Blue is a backup offensive tackle for the Terps. Sophomore Nick Klemm and freshman Jake Wheeler will perform spot duty at tackle according to the team's depth chart if called upon to replace the team's starters, Max Garcia and R.J. Dill.
