They have to make everyone leave. Gameday is free and open to the public. And I don't think it will kill the mood...more like the eye of the storm in the afternoon. Then once everyone is let back in the place will be crazy again.

Well Game Day is open to the public and the game isn't. You sort of need to get the people without game tickets out of the seats so those with tickets can have them. Also, the teams will have their afternoon shoot around at some point. I doubt Syracuse would want to have a shoot around open to the public.

I just didn't know if the cheerleaders put on a show or if the players came out. I get that it's a spirit fest. So what do the commentators talk about for three hours? Damn, I know they can talk, but...

I realized I can't go to game day anyway because my son has a tournament. (duh! can't believe I spaced that!) I can't afford tickets for the game. But I'll be there in spirit! I hope UConn is repped well.

They talk about all of the games happening that weekend (with an emphasis on the ESPN games) and I'm sure there will be a lot of tourney talk, conference seedings, etc. This is a very easy time for them to fill up 3 hours actually.

Gameday is always filmed from 10am-12pm right before the day of college basketball starts sometimes the game that gameday is there for happens earlier in the day. they also have another one that starts at 8pm until tipoff

With march madness right around the corner ESPN can talk hoops for days. They also should bring a couple UConn players out where they ask both players questions about each other to see how much they know about their teammate. ( little quiz game). Also their should be a state farm half court shot taking by a student. I also believe this is the first year they extended it to 3 hrs (added 9am-10 on espnu).

I believe they also have another live pre-game type show in the arena from 8-9. I think thats the best chance for everyone to see how electric it is inside. With a 9:00 start that leaves a lot of time for the fans to do their own kind of pre gaming which will lead to an extra crazy atmosphere
