John A. reports a ticket promo for the Cuse v. UConn game:

"The best promotion of the year: At Syracuse Wednesday night, fans can get into the Carrier Dome for $2. But it gets better. All fans can bring their ticket stubs to a participating “Taco Bell” for free munchies after the game. But Syracuse doesn’t even have to win for the promotion to kick start. All the Orange has to do is score 65 points."

Sorry, the Huskies are going to leave fans hungry. The Orange have no chance of getting to 65 points. It might take them 60 minutes to score that many.

Given that the only two teams that have managed to score 65 points on UConn happen to be the two top ranked teams in the country, it seems a safe bet that Syracuse is not up to the task.

Of course, that may be a blessing in disguise. Taco Bell is horrific. Or at least it was as of my last attempt at eating it, which was in 1996 when I was rip roaring drunk. My meal lasted in my digestive tract for approximately 15 minutes before being sent suddenly and violently back from whence it came.

Heard they are considering a new ad campaign slogan. It is, "This, too, shall pass."

After tonight's game, their new slogan might be,"We can't even give it away."

I am a big fan of Mexican food. However, my shadow has never darkened a Taco Bell threshold.

I wouldn't really classify Taco Bell as "Mexican" food. It's just....Taco Bell. Tico Taco Bell.

"Yo Quiero Taco Bell" :D

Taco Bell is hands down the best food chain in America. You can't beat the Crunchwrap Supreme or Chalupas.

I was at Taco Bell 2-3x per week when I was pregnant. Could NOT get enough. Between that and the bacon cheeseburgers at Red Robin, most people thought I was having a boy. So, say what you will, but a free TB snack of sorts could make some people VERY happy. ;)

I suddenly want a bacon cheeseburger and steak fries...

Taco Bell is a matter of taste. It an Americanized version of Tex-Mex.

The major point--setting the bar at 65 points is very safe. :)

In three days I will be having REAL Mexican food, for a whole week in fact. I am pretty sure it isn't going to look a darn thing like anything that comes out of Taco Bell.

I'm sure the alcohol had nothing to do with the end result :p
