One of the results from the stellar 2019 class graduating is that a LOT of sophomores are making a name for themselves this year. I know it is early and most teams have faced primarily easier schedules, but some standouts include (in order of HG rankings):

Christyn Williams-17.8 ppg after averaging 11.7 as a frosh
Charli Collier-17.9/11.6 after 5.9/4.3 as a freshman. FG% jump from 41.8 to 51%
Shakira Austin-13.4/6.0 after averaging 8.4/9.5. FG% jump from 43.2 to 60%
Queen Egbo-14.8/7.9 after averaging 5.4/4.2. FG jump from 45% to 63%
ONO-11.5p/10.2rpg after averaging 4.4/3.8 as a freshman.
Nalyssa Smith-16.0/7.3 up from 8.4/5.1
Emily Engstler-10.9/11.3 after averaging 3.5/4.0
Lexie Hull-14.8/5.5 after averaging 5.6/4.7
Jessika Carter-15.1/11.3 up from 3.2/3.1

Looks like this might end up being a pretty strong class, especially with a number of players out due to injury/transfer including:
Aquira Decosta
Sedona Prince
Zarielle Green
Kadiatou Sissoko
Andrea Aquino
Mimi Collins

Offensively Shakira Austin has improved even though it's still early. But as you can see her rebounding numbers are down and so are her block shot numbers.

It's a bit unusual because she sat out 2 seasons, but Lindsey Corsaro from UCLA is listed as a RS soph. Jumped to 16.0 from 7.3 ppg and FG% leaped to 62% from 39%.

Those aren't Corsaro's stats for this season. That is what she was doing after the first two games of this season. Take another look.

Oops. Thanks for the correction. Yeah her stats have come down quite a bit since that good start.

Need to add ONO's blocks to get the true sophomore jump.

Super legit. Was she on the bench as the center behind Gustafson last season?
Yes, behind both Gustafson and Stewart.
Very impressed with what I've seen from Czinano so far this year.

Sonia Morris at DePaul. I think she had 5pts a game shooting around 36% and 26% from 3. This year she’s averaging 15.5 pets per game. Shooting 46% and 37% from 3.
Yes. I have seen Morris play three times this season. I believe that she scored 29 points in two of those games. Did not know much about her prior to seeing her drive well and nail threes against Oregon State in a Preseason WNIT game. She uses her green light on the offensive end well. Fearless.... Now averaging almost 18 points per game after the ND game.

Ashley Joens, Iowa State
Freshman year: 11.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg
Soph. year so far: 21.9 ppg, 10.1 rpg

Here's another sophomore leap to add:

Monika Czinano, Iowa
As a frosh: 1.9 ppg, 54.9% FG, 5.3 mpg
As a soph.: 15.0 ppg, 69.9% FG, 27.6 mpg

They both played well in the head to head battle between the 2 schools this week.
