Opponent not very good. Wood played terrible defense and let them go on a 12-3 run to start the game. Otherwise wasn’t much in the way of competitiveness.
Scored or assisted on 19/26 of his team's first half points.
Kind of a lazy, unfundamental defender right now but has a great eye for the steal. That should pay off when Hurley gets him sitting back and really defending at a D1 level.
So unselfish and his teammates know that they have a green light to score when they get a pass from Sool. The amount of scoring opportunities he gives his team is huge.
It says a lot that his team is Sool and a few mid-major guys, but that’s really it… but they’re a top 25 hs team in the country. Obviously great coaching, but the team is nothing without their leader. He controls the game so well even when he’s having off nights.
This competition wasn’t the greatest, but it was evident in every game that Sool is calm under pressure and has a fantastic BBIQ. He’ll have a freshman learning curve, but there should be no doubt that he will earn plenty of minutes next year.
Finally had a game shooting well, even from the stripe. He might just be the kind of player who is streaky for a while, who knows.
