OT: Songs With "Me" in the Title or in the Lyrics

The Big Bopper - Chantilly Lace
Ya make me act so funny and spend my money...
Not going to insert a song this time, but take a stroll down memory lane instead.
Chantilly Lace was my favorite song back in high school, I loved 50s & 60s rock - I had pretty much all of those "K-Tel collections of Greatest Hits". (You can tell we're K-Tel because we yell!).
Had this song on 8 track and I even lettered it on the front fenders of my '66 Fairlane GT - cost me $20 at Pineman Signs in New Milford.

Hopefully the pics aren't too big, I don't think I know how to resize for posting, they are scans of an Instamatic 110 and a Polaroid.

Bobbie Gentry:

And now mama doesn't seem to want to do much of anything
And me, I spend a lot of time pickin' flowers up on Choctaw Ridge
And drop them into the muddy water off the Tallahatchie Bridge......

This is the opening cut of The Diary, an album that's based on a diary of a woman, maybe 16th century, whose husband is off at sea. The chorus is:

One look at you and you light up the sky
and my emotions return to me
from the mist of the endless sea

The music and lyrics are done in a clever manner, as it also sounds like a plea, "Return to me from the mist of the endless sea."

Simple and seemingly sophomoric lyrics can be movingly beautiful in the hands of talent like these two

”All the world‘s not round without you”

I think when October Project came on the scene they were considered "World Music". Mary Fahl had/has a solo career after.
They weren't around long but I liked their music.
