Someting that I liked about the announcing team...

During the 4th quarter, well after the discussion of possible P5 expansion candidates in the AAC (& UConn's omission in that discussion), & after the discussion of how bad a football team that UCF is, the lead announcer had one salient observation. As the camera was panning in on a very hot & red faced HCBD addressing the troops during a timeout, he chimed in saying that Bob Diaco is going to have little trouble on the recruiting trail as he is the kind of coach that young players would want as their leader. He cited Coach's charisma, playing style & leadership qualities as reasons.

Seemed like yesterday's telecast was for the B12 only. "Stay away from UCF...they're a complete dumpster fire". I can't remember a telecast that SO much time was spent sh1tting all over one of the opponents. Bad play, suspensions, injuries, graduation, poor attendance, free beer until they win, Text ##### for help jokes, storm clouds are over UCF jokes, etc...85% of the telecast was geared towards how awful they are than UConn's resurgence to finding a football pulse again. I don't remember 85% of the telecasts from the last few years geared towards how bad we were.

But to the point of your post - I agree. For all of the silly things Coach Diaco does and gets made fun of nationally for doing, kids LOVE it. We had a great class last year and a decently ranked class so far for next year (with the potential to keep getting better with more winning). Diaco has energized this program again and I absolutely LOVE seeing our sideline playing with so much energy.
