from the UC-Davis game is that one of the officials was Maggie Tieman. Maggie is the very successful field hockey coach at Lewis Mills H.S. in Burlington. She grew up in Litchfield, and was an outstanding 3 sport athlete there in high school. She went to the University of Vermont on basketball scholarship, but ended up playing softball there. according to my neighbor , a college official himself, she is progressing very quickly.

Rutgers own Linda Miles continues to advance in the ranks (working some AAC games, incidentally) and there was an article in the papers out here about former AZ player Lisa Willis who is beginning to officiate D1 this season; not in major conferences yet.
