1. I will start by thanking Tara and the Stanford players for defeating us last year. Consequently, our team is battle-ready from day one this season. No other team matched our preparations.
2. Nikki Caldwell (her last name has changed after marriage) is 3-3 at LSU. She is no longer an option to succeed Holly at Knoxville. Pat's assistants are having a hard time as other SEC teams are leaving them behind. I think we are very lucky because they did not have the sense to ask CD when Pat retired. I would compare that request (it did not materialize) to Hendrik Anton Lorentz asking Einstein if he would be interested in taking over at Leiden when HAL retired.
3. I went to Costco today. There is an excellent selection of DVDs there. The best choice this season is the Poirot bluray (complete collection) for about $122 from Amazon. This beats all Costco offers. I learnt about the Poirot offer only last night. So please hurry up. The price is valid until tomorrow. You will not get this price for Poirot for at least another year. Possibly longer. Costco's best is the Batman bluray collection at $17.99. Friends is also good at $64.99.
