For all the whiners on here, complaining about playing time, the bench, 2 years from now's squad, injuries, only a 6 player rotation, etc. etc. etc.

You need to remember what time of year we are in. This the WIN and ADVANCE time of year. Nothing else matters. Doesn't matter how UCONN plays. How big a margin they win by. How many points the bench gets. Who's injured, who's healthy, who's on a hot streak. How tired the players are. How well rested they are.

The only thing that matters is that we win. Doesn't matter if UCONN beats St Mary's School for the Blind by 1 point in the 1st round. The only thing that matters is they do.

So try to keep the perspective. Win and Advance. Let that be your mantra.

Great post. We used to say "Little Sisters of the Poor" as opposed to St Mary's School for the Blind. I guess perspective depends upon your point of view. ;)

Some perspective: Last year Miss. St. played 5 bench players for 53 minutes, who scored 12 points, more than the margin of victory. UConn played two bench players, who scored 1 point between them.

Doesn't matter. Only thing that mattered was Miss St won and advanced. UCONN didn't.

Nice try @meyers7. The usual suspects here and elsewhere are habituated to negativity and need it like they need air. And, yes, they suck it out of a room and a BY!

That's how bad the bench was last year. For all the criticism of this year's bench on the BY, UConn has one of the best benches in wcbb. In any Ncaa tournament game this year we can expect Z alone to score 12 points or more.

In a speech written by William Safire for then VP Spiro Agnew , he referred to the "nattering nabobs of negativism". Perhaps some nabobs have survived lo these many years? ;)

I'd say we started a bench player last year, but people would jump all over me.

In this case, Antonio, I do not accept that what's past is prologue. :p
