I'm not sure what Boneyard many of you are reading, but some of you need a reality check. This year's fanbase was severely overrated to begin the season and some of you are still overrating it. Open your eyes! This forum has shown next to nothing this year and short of us having some posters with FUTURE potential, they really are not a very community.
I almost have to laugh as I keep reading on this board how great some of the posters are. Ummmmm based on what? Slamming Shabazz? Calling out Blaney? Calling Drummond overrated? Making stupid predictions...which, oh by the way, people only bring up their correct predictions, while ignoring the stupid that spewed from their fingers that didn't come true. I just don't see anything different now from what we've seen all year. We are a very average fanbase.
Like all fans of intelligent writing, I'll hope for smart posts... but no way am I setting any expectations for this forum. They're simply not any good. People on the board are bashing rival fanbases for offensive posts... Look in the mirror folks. UConn is worse! Those fanbases are likely to post more competently than us for the rest of the season. And they are mediocre. For you others who are looking forward to reading the message boards of Duke, UNC, Syracuse, Kentucky, Mizz, Mich St, Kansas, & other top teams... you're in denial.
There's hope because of course all those fanbases are beatable by us. But only in the sense that anything can happen on a given night. And we can hope we pull a VCU or George Mason 'out of nowhere' type run this year. That's the beauty of the internet. But this year, that's what it'd be...a miracle type run. Despite what some of you are saying, the boneyard has shown nothing that gives any indication that we've turned a corner or that they we have any better chance this year than other of the non top 25 fanbases.
Enjoy the internet and hope like heck but please stop all these threads inferring we are any kind of fans with above average posting ability. We are what we've shown. And we are showing asshats.
