How much money do we have left? You seem to know.
Okay, who are the players we are trying to get?
Yes, I saw their names as well. That doesn't mean we aren't trying to get other guys.Right now all we know is Chol Machot or Oskar Giltay for backup C
If you’re a member on SC you know who we have and haven’t reached out to.Yes, I saw their names as well. That doesn't mean we aren't trying to get other guys.
What about Paul Mitchell products? We are not trying to get Paul McNeil.
Because BIIIG's OP was a masterful trollThen why is this thread 8 pages? LOL!
Color me confused. Going on 24/7 and On3, players NILs are published, at least for a number of guys. I don’t any transfers getting 2.5, 3 or 4 million. Where are the estimates for our guys coming from. If we only have $14M total, I read on KY fan site they have $22M. And I’m sure Michigan has a truck full of cash as they are pursuing Thiam and other higher priced talent. If all this is true, we’ll be priced out of a competitive team despite having the best coach and staff. This said, it doesn’t explain KY failures despite spending obscene money and still not fielding a deep run tourney team.If that is near correct there is no money left for additional players? Maybe the others aren’t getting those numbers.
Please noRight now all we know is Chol Machot or Oskar Giltay for backup C
Please no
I don't know but a new bunch of players just entered the portal today. Think I’ll have a look. 2 Centers from Georgetown, Baba Miller Cincinnati, Isaiah Miranda. I’m not including Diop or Thiam. The longer we wait, the better ones will be gone.Who’s your pick for backup center? And don’t say a guy who’s clearly going to have offers to start at high end high majors.
I'll be interested to hear what you come up with because these options are very good ones, especially MachotI don't know but a new bunch of players just entered the portal today. Think I’ll have a look.
Machot seems like a great fit to be the other center. Great lob finisher, great shot blocker with untapped potential. There's no way the other guy should be the guy. Please no
Is a Millender on a par with a Hilton? What we need is a Sean Miller.IF this ends up being true: I love you.
A 6'5 ACC transfer who can score in a variety of ways AND finished last season with the 40th best offensive rating in the nation.
Honestly, if we get a guy who averaged 14 ppg, hit 43% of his threes and started basically every game for NC State, that's a hell of a get as a backup 2/3. This would basically mean County is the backup PG and then you can add a Millender as a 'break if needed' emergency 3rd PG.
different day. Amazing that after Ball announces his wrist is so bad that he's skipping an entire year to get fully healthy. And you're still here with this "sOLo'S iNeFFiCieNt sCoriNg" B S Give it a flippin' rest. The rest of your asinine opinion is irrelevant
Man why so butt hurt? Grow up little guy 😂 , if you read my post I said Junior year Solo who was hurt badly enough to miss a season was an inefficient scorer unlike Sophmore Solo…Don’t worry he will be back in 27 28 and I hope as all of us that he will be better than ever
And we have 5 shooters on this squad that can all provide floor spacing, don’t need a sixth, need another big and PG is all I’m sayingBall spaced the floor. Defenders were on him, he was never ignored. This matters. You need a scoring threat.
Laid this out before - Hurley mentioned they have a budget, which I’d guess is around 14mm. By going what we’ve heard with market minus maybe some small discount, would have to think it’s around:
Silas - 3
Mullins - 4
Khamenia - 2.5
Hines - 2.5
Ross - <1
Landrew - <1
Country <1
Those are estimates and the budget is hearsay but probably not that far off.
Can’t imagine we got a lot left for a big time player. Maybe splurge on the backup 5 and then save some beans for all the rosters spots.
This guys is out there
RuffRuff’s accounting isn’t accurate. For example, Mullins total number can be anywhere from 4-6 all in. But with name and image merchandise, 1.5- 2+ can come from commercials and merchandise UConn doesn’t pay him for. Mullins came back in large part because he will be the most marketable player maybe in the country next year. That factors in. UConn probably is in for 2.5-3. Just a guess.I am curious how you came up with these numbers. The revenue stream for D1 athletes comes in two form forms - NIL (3rd parties) and revenue sharing (20.5 mil). Revenue sharing is guaranteed to the athletes while NIL is not (there have been lawsuits filed by athletes).
We don't know how revenue sharing $ is distributed amongst all the sports offered at Uconn.
My point is that this madness has to stop! I am ok with these athletes being compensated but if rules/laws are not established then it will spiral out of controll.

Those guys are better than Miranda. Halaifonua, Baba, and Iwuchuku fall into "obvious starters at high end high majors", I think Nova is trying to get Hala to be their starter. Baba needs the 5 in 5 or a waiver (not likely to get it). Iwuchukwu needs a prayer waiver (has already used 5 years post-HS so not eligible for 5 in 5 if it passes), and played in 14 games his least season.I don't know but a new bunch of players just entered the portal today. You think lack of facts or even understanding will stop RuffRuff from posting a horrendous take?I am curious how you came up with these numbers. I agree with you. My main point is that this has to be regulated. The majority of fans are not in the same income bracket as Warren Buffet. What is also part of NIL are donations Fans will suffer with jacked up prices to watch a game live or God forbid may have to purchase a seperate package just to watch their favorite college team on television. I am ok with these athletes being compensated but some sort of cap has to be established. Al McGuire who coached Marquette in the mid 70's once said that maybe we should pay the athletes and get rid of the word "student".RuffRuff’s accounting isn’t accurate.
