Soccer stadium news

According to the story the UConn Blog has on the Bob Diaco donation to UConn's soccer/baseball/softball facilities, construction on the new soccer stadium will begin in December. That is the first I have seen on an actual date on when construction will start on any of these facilities.

I hate to say it, but the more time passes, the more I have to wonder about the validity of this report in the UConn Blog about breaking ground on the new soccer stadium in December. I simply have not heard or read of this anywhere else, and I would think it is something that would get reported on somewhere else in the media. I would guess we will find out more once the actual college soccer season starts, as I would guess it would be a fairly big talking point for John Tuite during men's soccer broadcasts on WHUS.
